Crash partially closes A64 causing three miles of tailbacks

A crash has partially closed the A64 this afternoon (Thursday, 6 April).

One lane is closed and there is queueing traffic due to the collision on the A64 eastbound at A659 (Tadcaster East).

At 4.22pm, National Highways Yorkshire tweeted: “Lane 1 (of 2) is closed on the A64 eastbound between the A162 and A659 near Tadcaster due to a single vehicle collision.

“Emergency services and traffic officers are on scene. There are three miles of congestion on approach, causing 25 min delays above normal travel time.”
