There were 88 more coronavirus cases confirmed in York today (Saturday, 26 December).
It takes the cumulative total to 6,614 – giving an overall infection rate of 3,140.3 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days there have been 544 positive Covid-19 tests in York – an increase of 353 (184.8%) week on week.

In North Yorkshire, there were 184 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 16,288 – an infection rate of 2,635.4 cases per 100K.
There are 936 cases in Ryedale (up 33), 2,566 in Selby (up 24), 4,157 in Harrogate (up 30), 2,092 in Hambleton (up 33), 3,733 in Scarborough (up 39), 1,227 in Richmondshire (up 20) and 1,577 in Craven (up five).
There were two more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.
That takes the total to 361 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).
Seven coronavirus patients were admitted to the two York Trust hospitals today, and there are 79 Covid-19 patients in hospital, with seven on ventilation.
