Fire crews were called to investigate last night after masonry was said to have fallen from a building in York.
Police and firefighters liaised over reports of large bricks falling from an unstable property on Peter Lane.
That’s the narrow pedestrian street that runs from Market Street through to High Ousegate.
The call came through at 8.48pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A full inspection was carried out and advice was given.”
Less than an hour earlier, at 7.54pm, fire crews from Huntington and York were called out to a large wheelie bin on fire on Peter Lane.
It was in the fire escape of a block of flats. Firefighters put out the fire with a hose reel jet. The cause is believed to be deliberate.
