Fire crews are tackling a large fire near York tonight (Saturday).
Crews from York, Huntington, Acomb and Selby, the water bowser from Tadcaster and an aerial ladder from Scarborough are all involved in fighting the fire.
It broke out in an outbuilding off Moor Lane, Murton.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service tweeted out just after 7pm that it was “a large fire to an industrial unit”.
It is thought to have been brought under control. But the firefighting is affecting water pressure in the area. Yorkshire Water tweeted:
Fire service are currently onsite within the #YO19 #Murton area, which is causing our customers to notice low water pressure this evening. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Updates to follow, thanks ^SH
