Get ready for a thrilling night at the theatre as a world premiere stage production is coming to York.

Best-selling crime author Peter James returns to the Grand Opera House with a gripping new play.

Looking Good Dead will be at Grand Opera House York from Tuesday 29 March to Saturday 2 April 2022.

The play will star Adam Woodyatt, best known for his portrayal of Ian Beale in Eastenders – a role that has made him the longest-serving cast member in the soap.

Looking Good Dead marks Adam’s return to the stage in a play for the first time since 1982.

The play follows Tom Bryce (Adam Woodyatt) who hours after finding a discarded USB memory stick, inadvertently becomes a witness to a vicious murder – placing him and his family in grave danger.

Joining the 2022 leg of the tour, Laurie Brett will reunite with Adam to once again play husband and wife – as Laurie portrayed Jane Beale in Eastenders.

Also in the cast are Harry Long as Roy Grace, Ian Houghton as Jonas, Leon Stewart as Branson, Gemma Stroyan as Bella, Luke Ward-Wilkinson as Max Bryce, Mylo McDonald as Mick and Natalie Boakye as Janie.
