Electrical Technician

The Estates Department is looking to recruit a highly motivated Electrical Technician, to work as part of a multidisciplinary team based within York Teaching Hospital.  The department provides management, development, maintenance, and operational support for the Trust’s buildings and electrical infrastructure. The successful candidate will be based at York, but must be willing to work at any of the Trust’s sites.

You will be part of a team initially working day shifts, Monday to Friday, but also covering when necessary, often at short notice, hence you must be flexible regarding the hours of duty. You will be expected to undertake appropriate training as part of the job role.

The role is critical to the Estates Department’s maintenance support service, and is demanding and varied as it covers a range of engineering services. The role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning and maintenance of a range of engineering services, in the Trust’s clinical and non-clinical facilities.  It is a very busy directorate, and you will be part of a team that is constantly working to improve the quality and safety of the Trust’s healthcare facilities.
