Project Support Assistant

We are WorkwithYork and we are working with our client to find a Project Support Assistant.

This is a part time temporary assignment for 3 months with potential to be extended based in York City Centre. The role is 4 short days per week (around 20 hours and flexible on how this is worked). The pay rate is £15.56 per hour.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual who is able to carry out a variety of tasks to support a team of Project Managers in the delivery of a Major Transport Project. Training will be provided.

This role involves:

• Flexibility and commitment to provide project support on varying tasks to deliver major transport projects
• Liaison with project team members including internal departments (Finance/Comms/Property), various scheme consultants (engineers, legal) and external parties.
• Setting up /attending meetings and taking action notes (some maybe via Teams/Skype).
• Managing payment of invoices, keeping scheme finance tracker (Excel) updated.
• Working with project managers to ensure that all necessary documentation is complete, consistent and stored in agreed locations.
• Any other duties as required by project team.

You will need:

• Flexibility, enthusiasm and good organisational skills to undertake a wide range of project support tasks to a high standard whilst meeting deadlines.
• Good communication skills and ability to write clear concise notes/reports with good attention to detail
  Strong IT skills including Excel and Word.
