Do you have a City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above?

Experience of electrical maintenance activities, general distribution and installation and testing?

Do you have a current UK Driving Licence?

Our client based in York is looking for a qualified Electrician for an immediate start for a minimum of 3 months, with the potential to go from temporary to permanent.  The role is Monday – Friday, 37 hours a week.

The rate of pay is £15.27 per hour.

The ideal candidate will carry out reactive and planned maintenance to occupied social housing properties in the York area. This is a mobile role, travelling to domestic housing properties for preventative & reactive maintenance as well as remedial work on occupied and unoccupied (voids) properties.

The ideal applicant will first and foremost be an experienced and well skilled electrician, ideally with a residential and/or commercial background. Although you will be working as part of a team, we expect the successful candidate to carry out the necessary work themselves, at times without supervision. You will also need to be confident in liaising with the wider team, following instruction and complete works in a timely manner.

For this role, you will need to have;

• a current UK driving licence
• an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent (including AM2) City & Guilds 2391 or City & Guilds 2394 and 2395.
• BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, ideally 18th edition preferred but would consider those with 17th edition.

Receiving instructions and completing reports via PDA, to experience of using electronic devices would be useful. A vehicle, PPE and all tools will be provided.
