Our growing company is looking for an ambitious and experienced Digital Content and Website Administrator in the York to join our team full time – successful applicants must be able to work from York at least twice a week if necessary, although the position is primarily remote based.
Please do not apply for this position if you do not have online publishing or blogging work experience, or if you are not within close commuting distance to York.
The successful applicant will be responsible for adding new products to our website by taking technical information from product datasheets, along with adding unique content to extended, SEO-friendly product descriptions.
Our ideal candidate is a driven professional with demonstrable creative writing skills. As a content strategist, you should perform well under deadlines and be detail-oriented. If you are an expert in content creation and optimisation, and brand consistency, we would like to meet you.

⭐Day-to-Day Duties
• Adding new manufacturer and product ranges to the retail section of the site
• Building a relationship with manufacturers’ marketing teams to ensure all online content is up-to-date
• Using SEO tools for keyword planning, content optimisation, and basic competitor analysis
• Collaborating with team members, over Microsoft Teams or in person, to ensure deadlines and goals are met
⭐Responsibilities
• Development of content strategies aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
• Collaborate with a small team to develop site content; including researching competitors, and generating unique product descriptive content based on manufacturer documentation
• Develop and maintain an editorial calendar
• Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)
• Stay updated on industry trends and adjust the content strategy as needed
⭐Requirements
• Proven work experience as an online blogger or digital content development agent, with eCommerce experience
• Hands on experience with MS Office and a CMS based website, such as Prestashop, Magento or WordPress
• Basic technical knowledge of HTML, online text formatting and web publishing
• Understanding of content marketing tactics, such as SEO, digital advertising and social media marketing
• Excellent writing skills in English
• Attention to detail
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting workloads

⭐Working Hours
You will work 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday either from home or with other team members at a conveniently located hub in York, as required
⭐Salary
£20,000 – 23,000 per annum
