We are looking for a Quality and Compliance Assistant who will be a key member of the own brand purchasing team
What you will do
You will work closely with senior members of the team and with other departments to develop & maintain a body of evidence to prove the quality & compliance of our products.
The role is varied, with a mixture of proactive and reactive elements, so no two days are the same. You will have 2 main areas of focus; Quality Control which involves proactively sample testing our existing products to ensure the products are compliant when arriving from manufacture.Compliance which looks at the sourcing of our new products, ensuring all products comply with safety laws and regulations. Depending on your previous experience, the role will intitlly focus on Quality Control and we will support your development into technical compliance as your exprience and knowledge grows,
Above all, the work must be carried out meticulously, with accurate record-keeping, and with all relevant parties kept fully informed.
The role is largely office-based, but with a proportion of tasks taking place in the warehouse.
Who you are
With an eye for detail and a methodical approach the successful candidate will need to be adaptable and able to handle whatever comes their way calmly and methodically. You will need to be able to prioritise tasks and alter priorities as the situation changes. You will be keen to learn and ideally have a technical background. The ability to play a musical instrument is helpful but not a deal breaker!

A technical background, ideally with some electrical compliance experience
Experience in product quality control
A meticulous and methodical approach, with a keen eye for detail
Willingness to learn and have excellent communication skills
A keen interest in continuous improvement activities
Ability to see tasks through to completion
Good verbal and written communication skills
A basic knowledge or interest in musical instruments is preferable but not essential
