We have a brand-new opening for an experienced Audio Electronics Repair Engineer to join our existing repairs team here at Gear4music. As the business grows, so does the demand for specialist repair work across our product offering, particularly on the Audio/Electronics side. We are looking for a commercially minded, passionate professional to assist in developing this area of our business further as we continue to grow our business internationally
Who you are
This position is for an experienced Audio Electronics Repair Engineer. You will have extensive, working knowledge of, and experience with Electronic Audio equipment and instruments.
What you will do
You will be working within a small team of repairs professionals, repairing instruments, including but not limited to the following:
Electrical: Soldering, changing, and testing valves and replacing fuses
Fault Finding: To PCB and/or component level where appropriate
Assessing: Returned Units and Fault Finding
Repairing: Of products to a high standard
Liaising: With colleagues to gather further information
Maintaining: Repair centre facilities and equipment
You will also be responsible for.
Identifying issues such as PCB faults.
Identifying and fixing a wide range of both own brand and OEM electronic products
Assisting Team Leader and management with repairs stock and processing jobs efficiently

Sound knowledge of Audio Electronic equipment
Excellent fault-finding skills
Examples of completing tasks thoroughly in a timely manner and meeting or exceeding goals
Be comfortable and be highly competent with tools
Work within Health and Safety guidelines
Able to read and understand schematic diagrams
Capable of Installation of new electronic components (thru hole and surface mount)
Great work ethic
Good Communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Experience with Microsoft Office
Exceptional attention to detail
