Detectives in York are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an assault in the city which left a man seriously injured.
The man, who is aged 51 and from York, was found at around 1am on Thursday 5 September 2013, outside Talbot House, Melrosegate.
He had suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary where he is still undergoing treatment.
Detective Inspector Alan Rowan, of York CID, said: “I need to talk to anyone who was in the area of Melrosegate or near its junction with Hull Road, and anyone who was on Lawrence Street, between midnight and 1.15am on Thursday morning and urge them to contact the police immediately.
“In particular I am keen to trace a group of three women who I believe may have witnessed the assault and ask that they get in touch straight away.”
