Intruder violently attacks member of staff at top York hotel
This is the man police want to talk to in connection with a violent attack inside a leading York hotel.
It happened in Middletons Hotel on Cromwell Road in the early hours of Wednesday 16 February.
Police say a man forced his way into the hotel then assaulted the victim multiple times. He punched and pushed him, and put him in a headlock as if he was trying to strangle him.
After the attack, he threw a computer monitor, keyboard, mouse, a sign in a metal frame and a chair at the victim, breaking the chair leg.
The victim, a member of the hotel staff, was severely shaken up after the incident.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers would like to speak to the man pictured as they believe that they will have important information that can assist the investigation.”
