An man was injured on the railway line in York early today (Sunday).
Emergency services were called to the track, off Bootham, at 4.40am.
Firefighters helped ambulance crews in the operation.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews were requested to assist ambulance crews in removing an injured male from railway tracks.
“Crews used the aerial ladder platform to recover the casualty from the tracks.
“He was handed into the care of ambulance crews to transport to hospital.”
