Hundreds of York households have no electricity this morning (Saturday).
A power cut has hit homes and businesses in the YO26 postcode area of Acomb, Chapelfields and Knapton.
Some properties in the YO23 postcode near Rufforth are also affected.

Northern Powergrid says the blackout has been “caused by an unexpected problem with the cables or equipment that serve your area”.
It estimates that power will be restored by midday.
In a separate outage, around 100 properties in the YO32 postcode of Strensall are without power. Northern Powergrid estimates this will be fixed by 10.30am.
