Here’s the latest from the film set which is now York Minster.
A large green screen has been constructed in front of the West Door of the great cathedral, as day two of filming The Crown is underway.
It looks like this will allow producers to superimpose a different backdrop when scenes are filmed with the doors open.
Large areas around the Minster remained cordoned off, with some staffed by members of the York Minster Police.
The huge spotlights beaming through the stained glass windows remain in place.
Filming on the Netflix royal blockbuster was due to take place between 7am and 9pm today.
Tomorrow filming is due to run until 1.30pm. Then work begins to deconstruct and pack away the sets and equipment, a process which will continue through Friday.
