Police are hunting for this man after he went on the run – and not for the first time.
He is Joseph Sandford, 33, from York, and has been recalled to prison for breaching his licence conditions since being released less than a month ago.
He had originally been jailed for theft.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries have been ongoing to locate him and we’re now appealing to anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to get in touch with information.
“Officers believe that he may be in Leeds, possibly the city centre, Armley or Beeston. He also has links to York.”
Police have appealed for help in tracking down Sandford before. In August 2020, he was wanted for multiple offences including theft and fraud.
Last June, he absconded after being released on licence part-way through a prison sentence for assault and more.
