Detectives have arrested the two men they needed to speak to in connection with the death of Sam Wilson in York.
The men aged 19 and 20 were arrested on Monday (October 13), on suspicion of manslaughter. They are both currently in police custody.
Mr Wilson, from Haxby, died after being struck by a taxi on Haxby Road, near the Nuffield Hospital, at about 1.50am on Saturday (October 11). This followed what police described as a “violent disorder”.
Also on Monday, Linden Lee Smith, 20, appeared at York Magistrates’ Court, charged with Mr Wilson’s manslaughter.
The family of Mr Wilson have asked that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time, as they come to terms with their loss.
