Police have told a couple of visitors who arrived in York today to go straight home.
They were first spotted by security and Covid marshals.
But YorkMix understands that they wouldn’t listen to advice so police were called to Shambles Market to deal with them.
One of the visitors was carrying a placard with a religious message on it.
They had come from Wolverhampton breaking Covid essential travel rules.
They were issued with a fixed penalty notice and instructed to leave the city and return home.
