Burglars have broken into a York primary school, damaging the garden, ransacking rooms and stealing laptops and a teddy bear.
It happened at Clifton Green Primary School at about 9.50pm on Saturday (17 June).
Police say a group of people entered the school causing ‘significant damage’ to the roof.
They also damaged a canopy and garden plants in the school grounds.
The intruders opened drawers and threw first aid kits and school equipment across the floor.
They also stole a number of items, including Chromebooks and a large teddy bear.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for information to help establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and would like to hear from anyone with information about either the damage caused or items stolen from the school.
“If anyone saw anything in this area around the time of the burglary we would encourage you to get in touch.”
