Police have made three arrests at two separate addresses in York following information about the suspected importation of illegal drugs.
North Yorkshire Police officers searched a property in Foxwood on Tuesday (11 March) and discovered suspected drugs, a large amount of cash, and tools associated with illegal drugs.
A man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s were arrested on suspicion of importing Class B drugs, and possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply. They have been released on bail as enquiries continue.
The following morning (Wednesday 12 March), officers attended a property in Clifton, where they found suspected drugs, cash, and tools.
A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of importing Class B drugs and has been released under investigation.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Those involved in the importation or supply of illegal drugs in York or North Yorkshire should expect to be identified, located and brought to justice. Their actions bring nothing but misery and suffering to our communities.
“Everyone can help us put a stop to this scourge. If you know or suspect someone is importing or dealing drugs, let us know.”
