Funeral for mother and two children killed in horror A64 crash
The funeral for the mother and two children killed in a horror crash on the A64 near York takes place tomorrow.
They died when an HGV and a motorhome collided near the Jinnah Restaurant at Flaxton. The mum, 44, and two children, a nine year old girl and a five year old boy, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The father and their six-year-old son survived.
Sgt Paul Cording, who attended the crash for North Yorkshire Police, shared details of the funeral with the family’s permission.
He said on Twitter: “My thoughts are with everyone involved as always.”
They are raising money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which airlifted the boy to hospital.
The funeral of the mother, Shirley Hunt, 44, and the children takes place tomorrow (Friday, 22 October) at Rotherham Minster in South Yorkshire.
