Firefighters were called to a fire which gutted a caravan in York this afternoon (Saturday).
Crews from Acomb and York responded to a call to the incident on the A1237 at Askham Bryan at 2.47pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The owner of the caravan had detached it from their car prior to fire service arrival.
“Crews extinguished the fire that resulted in extensive damage to the caravan. The cause of the fire was heat radiated from a tight wheel.”
