Firefighters rescue dog from river near York

An adventurous dog made something of a splash near York.

Harvey the labrador went into the River Ouse close to Beningbrough Hall – but couldn’t get out.

The steep bank proved too much for him.

A fire crew from Huntington were despatched and rescued the 13 year-old lab. He is now back with his grateful owner.

As fire station Tony Walker, who tweeted these photos, said: “It’s not just fires.”
