Firefighters called to blaze at pig farm

Firefighters responded to a pig barn on fire north of York last night (Sunday).

They responded to the incident at Great Ouseburn at 5.52pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire involving a pig barn.

“Crews extinguished using four breathing apparatus and two hose reels.”
