It was very nearly another animal rescue for North Yorkshire firefighters today (Sunday, 30 April).
A crew from York were called out to Naburn at 2.25pm after a dog got stuck in a pipe.
But the story ended happily.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The owners of the dog had managed to get the dog free just before the fire service arrival.
“Crews administered first aid to treat minor cuts to the owners hands.”
