Firefighters have put out a fire started deliberately next to the York outer ring road.
It happened at 9.52pm last night (Wednesday) off the A1237 at Clifton Moor.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Huntington came across a fire in the open while returning from a previous incident.
“The used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire measuring 10m by 10m and consisting of wood and metal.
“The cause was deliberate.”
