Three fire crews tackled a house fire in Ripon last night (Friday).
They were called to the property in the Gallows Hill area at 6.21pm.
Firefighters from Ripon, Boroughbridge and Harrogate, including an aerial ladder platform, responded to reports of smoke issuing from the roof of the detached home.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A fire was located on the third floor and extinguished using breathing apparatus and hose reel jets.
“The cause was believed to be radiated heat from the flue of a wood-burning stove.”
