Firefighters were called out to a suspected sink hole in York last night (Monday).
Two fire engines from Huntington went to reports of the hole near a house in Greenshaw Drive, Haxby, at 7.35pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On arrival, crews confirmed this was washed out soak-away measuring one square foot.
“Crews cordoned the area off with incident tape, filled the hole in with gravel and gave advice to the owner.”
