Fire crews across North Yorkshire were called in to tackle a fire at a North Yorkshire home.
Scarborough fire crews were deployed to an automatic fire alarm activation at the residential property in Scarborough during the early hours of this morning (Friday).
They attended the scene at 00:07am, and immediately requested additional appliances on arrival.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue spokesperson said:
“On arrival on scene crews immediately requested additional appliances after discovering the first floor flat was well alight. Crews from Robin Hoods Bay and Filey were mobilised in support.”
Crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze on both the ground floor and the first floor.
The cause of the fire is so far unknown.
