Hope and Social return to York’s favourite community venue, bringing their new album “Happy Bread and Cruel Hangovers” to Yorkshire’s capital city for the first time.
Hope & Social, eight hoodlums who play all-out, ballsy, joyous and uplifting music to win the hearts of many a gig-goer throughout their ten-year tenure as one of the UK’s hardest working bands. Their gigs are a frankly bewildering mix of absolute chaos and superlative musicianship garnished with a self deprecating Northern humour and built on some of the finest songs you’ll ever hear. With a 3 piece horn section and 5 part harmonies Hope and Social make a massive sound that jumps across genres like cats on a hot plate. You’ll sing, you’ll dance, you’ll smile so much your face will hurt.
