Emergency crews called to incident on the A19

Selby firefighters have been called to an incident on the A19 this afternoon (Saturday).

Fire station manager for York, Selby & Tadcaster Tony Walker said on Twitter: “Both Selby appliances have just been mobilised to an RTC on the A19 near Whitley. Please avoid the area until the incident is resolved.”

According to the AA the road is blocked and there’s queueing traffic “due to a stalled truck on A19 at M62 J34 (Selby / Doncaster) on the roundabout.

‘Sensors suggest it is on the southern side of the roundabout.”
