Cyclist hurt in collision with car at busy York junction – Police search for driver
A York cyclist had to go to hospital after a collision with a car at a busy junction.
It happened on Scarcroft Road near to the junction with Blossom Street at around 5.50pm on Sunday (4 July).
A male cyclist and a small silver or blue car were in collision.

The cyclist suffered injuries to his hands and knees as a result and attended hospital, where he was discharged following treatment
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“In particular, we are appealing for information about the vehicle involved, the make and model and registration number and any information relating to the identity of the driver.”
The driver is a man, said to be around 45 to 50 years old.

It is the second serious accident on Scarcroft Road in a matter of days. Last Thursday (1 July), a woman pedestrian suffered head injuries in a collision with a taxi.
