Police officers and council staff have evicted residents from their York home after persistent reports of criminal behaviour.
They were acting after complaints from neighbours of the property, on Stuart Road, Acomb, dating back a year.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Over the last 12 months a large number of reports have been received regarding anti-social behaviour, criminal offending and drug use at an address on Stuart Road in Acomb.
“The York West Neighbourhood Policing team, the York Community Safety Hub and the City of York Council have been working in partnership to tackle these issues and as a result, the occupants of the address were evicted on Thursday morning (13 July)”
Police thanked nearby residents for contacting them with their concerns.
“This highlights our commitment to tackling the issues in our community and the effect partnership working can have.
“If you are having similar issues with an address in your area then we encourage you to report these concerns to us.”
