Firefighters from two stations tackled a large fire in the open last night.
Crews from York and Huntington were called to Outgang Lane, Osbaldwick at 5.02pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from York and Huntington responded to a report of a fire seen in the open.

“Crews located the fire measuring approximately 20sqm consisting of rubbish.
“Crews extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel jet and gave advice to responsible persons.”
