Police are investigating after a car was abandoned on its side in the middle of a road and set on fire.
Firefighters were called out to Barlow Common Road, Barlow, near Selby at 7.07pm last night (Tuesday).
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Selby attended an incident where a car had crashed and landed on its side in the middle of the road.
“No one was in the vehicle on the arrival of the crew.
“The vehicle had been deliberately set on fire causing 100% fire damage.”
After the crew put out the fire, the incident was left in the hands of the police.
