Serious collision closes A64 in North Yorkshire – ‘Avoid the area’ say police
A crash has closed the A64 in North Yorkshire.
It has happened west of Malton near the turn-off to the village of Welburn and was first reported around 7am.
The road is blocked both ways between B1248 York Road (Musley Bank) and Barnygate Lane.

Emergency services are at the scene. North Yorkshire Police has Tweeted: “Motorists are advised to avoid the area at this time.”
The AA reports queuing traffic both ways leading to “severe delays”.
