A crash on the A64 has been cleared after causing problems for commuters this morning (Tuesday).
The collision was on the eastbound lane at the junction with the A1237 – Askham Bryan and Copmanthorpe.
Twitter user Charlotte Mentz said at 7.45am it happened right on the exit and says “allow extra time”.
According to the AA, the incident caused “severe delays of eleven minutes on A64 eastbound in North Yorkshire. Average speed ten mph”.
Queues were stretching all the way back to Tadcaster, but by 8.30am had cleared.
