Updated: A64 reopens after crash caused serious congestion
A crash on the A64 in the early hours caused problems for drivers this morning (Tuesday).
The collision, believed to involve a single car, was first reported just after midnight.
It has closed the westbound carriageway between the A1237 York South and the junction with the A659 Tadcaster East.
The closure caused significant delays for travellers this morning. One lane had opened by 7.30am, then the road was fully reopened at 9am.
