Couple who died in double tragedy on A64 named by police

Police have named the couple who died in an accident on the A64 late on Saturday.

They were Dave Tinker, 50, and Julie Gough, 52. They were from the Malton area.

They died after being in collision with a black Renault minibus while crossing the A64 just before midnight on Saturday (May 13).

The accident happened at Crambeck near Malton.

‘Sorely missed’

In a statement, their families said:

Dave and Julie were very loved, and will be sorely missed by Julie’s two young sons and their respective families.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
