A new monthly comedy night is launching at the Impossible bar in York.
All Gold Comedy Club will take place on the first Thursday of every month, with the launch night kicking off on Thursday 1 July.
Promoted by Nodding Dog Comedy and in partnership with York Gin, the aim is to bring the ‘best TV names, circuit comedians and rising stars’ to the city.

The comedy night will take place on the first floor of the former HQ of Terry’s Chocolate, which has a bar and performance space.
“As soon as we saw the building and the room we knew we had to bring our comedy shows here,” said Kev Rook, top dog at Nodding Dog Comedy.
“York is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and Impossible reflects that externally and internally.
“To bring some of the UK’s best comedians to this setting, with the iconic York Gin as partners, was just too good an opportunity to turn down!”
Stellar line up
The launch night will be headlined by Lloyd Griffith, who has been seen on ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’, ‘Soccer AM’, ‘Comedy Central’ and much more. He is also about to embark on a full UK tour.
Alongside Lloyd will be New Zealander Matt Stellingwerf to open the entertainment, triple New Comedian of the Year winner David Eagle, and award-winning comedian Eleanor Conway will be the night’s MC.
The All Gold Comedy Club currently has dates until the end of the year, but the hope is that if the night proves popular it can take place more regularly than monthly.

And there’s more stars to come…
Kev Rook adds, “We’ve not held back on the quality of acts that we are booking for this venue.
“Audiences can look forward to performances this year from genuine stars like Shazia Mirza, Nathan Caton, Elf Lyons, Glenn Wool and Louise Young among many, many more!”
While Covid restrictions are still in place the shows will be socially distanced and following all current government guidelines.
“Come along for a huge laugh!”
Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 8pm at Impossible Wonderbar and Tea Rooms on Thursday 1 July.
Tickets cost £12.50 and are available to buy online here or on the door on the night.
