Both the coastguard and the fire service were called to the aid of stranded walkers in a seaside town last night (Sunday).
It happened in Filey, with firefighters from the town’s station called at 10.22pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Filey crews assisted the coastguard with the rescue of three people stuck on path due to being unable to use metal ladder on cliff side.
“The coastguard carried out a technical rescue and the fire service provided lighting at the scene.”
