City’s Street Rangers support York Rescue Boat

York Rescue Boat would like to say a huge thank you to York Street Rangers who came down to our van on Friday (1 March) to present us with a cheque for £1,000.

They had put us forward to be a recipient for the money from TK Maxx’s Community Fund.

The York Street Ranger team work with us on a regular basis, attending incidents together and passing on information.

We have also trained them in water safety, to add to the many other incidents they cover.

The Rangers are on duty seven days a week, prevented criminal incidents, deterring anti-social behaviour, providing first aid, have a street clean up team and give information and assistance in the BID area of York city centre.

They also regularly raise funds for local charities.
