City team clock up more than 600 miles for York Mind
A team from a top York recruitment agency have gone the extra mile – well, 600 miles in fact – to boost a city charity.
The staff, from WorkwithYorkshire, joined the York Mind 600-mile September Challenge.
And by keeping active for the whole of the month, they managed to clock up 614.69 miles, and raising £260 for York Mind.
The team took part by upping their exercise and tracking their mileage during lunch breaks, evenings, weekends and even holidays.
From local leisurely strolls and early morning runs in York, cycle rides in the North York Moors, dog walks in Thirsk and rambling in Whitby and Northumberland, they smashed the 600 mile target.
All monies raised by the team will enable York Mind to continue to offer their self-referral-based services in York, to people experiencing mental ill-health, and help to change the lives of local people.
WorkwithYorkshire helps people in the region find work and Yorkshire businesses recruit quality staff. It is based on King’s Court in York.
