A still from CCTV of a man York police want to trace

Issued by North Yorkshire Police

Police in York have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with criminal damage at a betting shop in York.

On 23 February 2013, a man entered Ladbrokes’ bookmakers in Piccadilly in York. While using the customer toilet, he smashed a mirror on the washroom wall.

Police believe the man in the CCTV image could have information which could assist their investigation.

It is believed that he has links to the Teesside area as he spoke with a Middlesbrough accent and left an address in the Thornaby area, which turned out to be incorrect.

Anyone who can help identify the man or has any other information, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for PC Fiona Wilding. Or email her at [email protected]

If you prefer to remain anonymous, you can pass information to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
