A car fire closed a main road in North Yorkshire yesterday evening (Saturday).
Firefighters from Thirsk were called to the A170, Sutton Bank at 5.53pm.
A Range Rover had caught fire and was “well alight”.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The car was about half way up Sutton Bank which highways requested to close the road while the incident was dealt with.”
The cause is believed to be an electrical fault.
