Smoke billowing from a York house led to the fire service being alerted in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
After a call, two fire crews headed over to Renshaw Gardens in Holgate at 3.24am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Acomb and York responded to reports of smoke sighted in the kitchen of a two-storey end of terrace property.

“This was caused by a fire to a pizza, which was out on arrival.
“Crews ventilated the property with a positive pressure ventilation fan.”
