Some of the BGT team will be in York on October 22 and 23 at two venues.
They’re first at the Spread Eagle on Walmgate, and then Tang Hall SMART community centre in Bad Bargain Lane.
The same event at the Spread last year resulted in three York people being asked to come back – a dancer and two singers including one man with a voice similar to the operatic Paul Potts who won the first BGT in 2007.
‘Wackier the better’
A diverse range of ages and talents is wanted: not just singers but comedians, jugglers, magicians, trained dogs… the possibilities are endless.
Burnholme Community Hub, Bad Bargain Lane
Fri Oct 23 @ 3pm-4.30pm. Adult auditions 3pm-3.45pm and children/ teens from 3.45pm.

“The more wacky the better,” says Spread Eagle landlord Nick Cope. “I am sure the next winner is out there in York somewhere.”
These events are open to everyone, although due to time limits those wishing to perform will need to book a place.
If you’d like to see what a wealth of entertaining talent York has to offer you’re welcome to come along and meet the performers, who may someday be national stars.
Next year’s series sees the show celebrate its tenth anniversary. Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams will all return to the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel.
Hosts Ant & Dec are also back to guide the audience through the wacky, weird and wonderful talents auditioning.
Open auditions begin in Birmingham on Sunday, October 25. The search will continue with further auditions in London, Cardiff, Liverpool, Glasgow and Manchester.
