Police are investigating a series of fights on a York train apparently sparked by seatless passengers sitting on tables.
The incident happened on Sunday 23 July at York Station.
At 6.36pm around 45 passengers boarded an already busy LNER service.
The trouble was sparked as the train headed towards Northallerton.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Detectives investigating several fights on board an LNER train from York to Northallerton are appealing for witnesses.
“Shortly after 6.45pm several fights began to break out in carriage C between passengers upset at those without seats, sitting on tables.”
