A teenager has appeared in court charged with wounding a boy, carrying a knife and assault following an incident in York.
The 16-year-old, who can’t be named for legal reasons, appeared at Harrogate Youth Court yesterday (Thursday, 17 November).
He pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent, possessing a knife and common assault.
Police were called to the Rowntree Park area last Saturday at around 7pm.
A teenager had suffered a stab wound to their armpit. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
A cordon was put in place by the river after the incident.
The teenage defendant will next appear at York Crown Court on 28 November.
